The First Snowfall
I will give extra credit to any student who writes out, in their own handwriting, the poem "The First Snowfall," by James Russell Lowell and turns it in by Monday, December 17, 2007. I hope you enjoyed our first snow, even though it has already melted!
The first stanza of the poem:
"The snow had begun in the gloaming,
And busily all the night
Had been heaping field and highway
With a silence deep and white..."
